Vietnam!!!

Hahah, i'm alil outdated...
came bak from vietnam bout a week ago...
so i shall write a summary bout my trip there...

erm, i really enjoyed my trip there...
we stayed in my father's friend's house, uncle gary...
i ate quite a number of vietnamese dish...
but one of the best was the duck egg...
erm, the one where the duck is half-formed...
so, basically, i was eating a duck foetus... HAHAH XD
i know it's disgusting... but it's really yummy, seriously...
it taste juz like normal chicken egg...
except it has a few very, very tiny bones... i got 3... ahahah =P

in uncle gary's house, we watched 9 movies!!! and we watched it bout like 2 something in the morning malaysian time... (vietnam is one hour behind malaysia... for example, if malaysia is 6.30am, vietnam will be 5.30am...) we watched cloverfield, darkness, we were soldiers, cats, joseph and the amazing technicolour dreamcoat, benny hill, final fantasy, the drunken master 2 and peter pan... it was the best 9 movies i've ever watched in my life... lol, you see, uncle gary has these very cool amplifiers in his living room... the effects are like watching movies in the cinema, juz that the difference is we're not in the cinema, but in his house... and sometimes, the effect is so geng until the windows in his living room shakes... not exaggerating at all, i'm serious... and he owns 6 guitars... hahah, sometimes i do wonder, why does he need so many guitars for...

i went to the vietnam's cu chi tunnel (pronounced as ku chi tunnel)... its the tunnel where when they had the vietnam war, vietnam soldiers hide in the tunnel and planned their strategies while above them, the bombs were everywhere... but it won't kena the vietnam soldiers coz they're bout 3 feet below the ground... it's quite fascinating... we get to walk through the tunnel... and believe it or not, being inside the tunnel is better than outside the tunnel... the tunnel is much cooler... and at the end of the trip, you'll get to eat tapioca dipped with peanuts, salt and sugar, i tink... hahah, it's part of the package... =D

i also went to vietnam's war museum... it's very pitiful seeing those pics and reading the captions below it... alot of ppl died during the vietnam war... and there's the orange bomb which affect the future generation... where the ppl are alil deformed... quite sad... but interesting and cool too... lol =)

also went to vietnam's sort-of taman negara... went to the crocodile's lake... omg, we had to like walk 5km into the jungle that's full of leeches before reaching our destination... and i got bitten by 10 leeches! but also okie la, not bad, coz we saw quite alot of unusual stuffs that we usually see on tv and not real life... on our way there, i saw some dung beetles... a stick-like insect... termites too... and leeches... duh, i got bitten by them... anw, we reached the hut... something like rumah panjang structure, but this is a short one... hahah, so we pull up our pants, and cut those leeches that's still on our legs into two... haha XP and we ate our lunch... then, we went to the crocodile lake, and with some rangers, we gave a try on rowing boats... its quite nice actually... learn something new... they also gave us a chance to cut fishes... lol XP at night, we saw crocodiles... and some deers... and also civet cat... yeah, it's interesting... and we even watched a praying mantis eating a grasshopper... hahah XD its basically very national geographic-ish when you're here...

oh yes, i even went to pubs!!! =D vietnam pubs dun have age limit, i guess... so i went to acoustic... and la habana... acoustic is a pub where some band sings, and the whole pub sings with them... it's not bad, i tink it's a local pub... la habana is a pub more to caucasian ppl go... so we were kind of the 'oddies' there... lol but hey, they have lots of hot caucasian guys... and i really mean it... one of them even had the guts to come to my sis and asked her to join him to go to another pub nearby... hahah XD and la habana was also the pub, where i got alil drunk... haha, whole face red, couldn't really stand properly... yeah, you get the point... but not very drunk la, still can tink properly... juz that very sleepy... but din puke, of coz... so, if in the sense of hot guys, no pubs can beat la habana... lol XD but if in the sense of fun and catchy types, acoustic is a good pub... no one cares whether you have good or bad voice... juz sing along... XD

went to the ben thanh market... it's something like our central market... juz that this place is super stuffy... and some sellers gets super angry when you try to bargain with them... but some are friendly la... bought souvenirs here... diem (pronounced as yimm) was our 'tour guide' (she's actually 14, auntie phong's (pronounced as feng) daughter, (auntie phong is uncle gary's assistant... lol, i know i'm confusing you ppl... XD) but anw, diem brought us everywhere and tried to bargain the price for us... thank you so much!

i also went to some local hair saloon... they washed my hair, do facial with cucumbers, blow dry my hair and made my nails... and all of this only costs bout, RM5? omg, how cheap is that?!! and the hair wash lasted bout almost 30 mins... in malaysia, its only half the time and twice the price with no facial for you... hahah, i love vietnam =P

basically, that was all la... it was very memorable... thanks uncle gary! for the midnight shows, the pubs, the national geographic-ish experience... in short, thanks for everything! XD

p/s: nana went to vietnam too... but i din get to see her... oh well... =(
